Jim Pietz represents clients in credit report disputes brought against credit reporting agencies, credit card companies, banks, and debt collectors.

The purpose of the Fair Credit Reporting Act is to ensure that credit reports and criminal background checks fairly and accurately provide information about a consumer’s credit history. The Fair Credit Reporting Act establishes fair standards of conduct by credit reporting agencies and those businesses that provide them information about a consumer’s credit history.  The Fair Credit Reporting Act also provides a procedure for consumers to submit credit report or background check disputes to credit bureaus and background check companies. When credit reporting agencies and creditors fail to conduct reasonable investigations of credit reporting disputes made by consumers.
